Management Accountant

A client in the transportation industry is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• BCom Accounting degree or equivalent.
• 4 years experience within a Finance environment.
• Ability to do accurate reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare three statements management accounts.
• Advanced Computer Applications.
• Knowledge of pastel.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Financial Principles.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Lead the development and management of cost accounting information, ensuring accuracy, consistency, appropriateness and timeliness.
• Prepare management accounts that are accurate and complete for submission to FM within stipulated deadline.
• Ensure that assets are correctly bar coded, updated and captured into the system according correctly classification.
• Ensure that procurement policy is followed and take on of new suppliers is procedural and approved.
• Implement and manage the annual budgeting process.
• Work collaboratively with the Financial Accountant and the entire team to achieve effective outcomes for department.
