Job Overview
A client in the transportation industry is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- BCom Accounting degree or equivalent.
- 4 years experience within a Finance environment.
- Ability to do accurate reconciliations.
- Ability to prepare three statements management accounts.
- Advanced Computer Applications.
- Knowledge of pastel.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Knowledge of IFRS and Financial Principles.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Lead the development and management of cost accounting information, ensuring accuracy, consistency, appropriateness and timeliness.
- Prepare management accounts that are accurate and complete for submission to FM within stipulated deadline.
- Ensure that assets are correctly bar coded, updated and captured into the system according correctly classification.
- Ensure that procurement policy is followed and take on of new suppliers is procedural and approved.
- Implement and manage the annual budgeting process.
- Work collaboratively with the Financial Accountant and the entire team to achieve effective outcomes for department.
