Requirements
- Matric or equivalent.
- Btech or Bcom/Soc sci in IR/HRM or equivalent.
- Registration with the SABPP will be an added advantage.
- 3 years’ experience working as an HR Generalist within the transport/manufacturing/fmcg/mining
industries. - In depth knowledge of South Africa Labour Legislations.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent report and minutes of meetings writing skill.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skill.
- Excellent working relationship skills and ability to relate with people of diverse culture at all levels.
- Must have good Leadership acumen and a strong desire to coach and develop others.
- Must be honest, have high level of integrity and be confidential with information.
- Good working knowledge of the HR Premier.
- Driver’s Licence.
- Computer Literacy.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assist with recruitment and selection processes.
- Assist the HR Manager to develop and implement employee engagement systems and strategies to
promote effective communication between management and employees. - Conduct regular engagement with employees to; explain company policies and procedures, address
issues timely and report to management all unresolved ones. - Liaise with payroll officer to coordinate and prepare payroll information for month end salary payment.
- Assist the HR Manager in drafting and reviewing policies and procedures.
- Prepare minutes of various meetings and prepare other required reports.
- Assist in the preparation of Manpower and cost budgets.
- Capture and keep accurate employee data in the HR system and perform general HR Administration
duties. - Coordinate employee disciplinary process and grievances handling.
- Ensure employee disciplinary issues are fairly and consistently implemented and in accordance with
workers condition of service across all department. - Represent the Company at the CCMA/SARPBAC.
- Set up monthly meetings between management and trade union representatives in order to resolve
issues quickly. - Serve as a member of the employment equity and skills committee.
- Build strong relationships and maintain constant contact with external service providers (lawyers,
recruitment agencies, retirement fund and medical aid companies) on matters relating to employees.
