An International manufacturing company wants to employ an Electrical Technician (hands-on)in their Cato Ridge plant.
REQUIREMENTS
- N6 National Diploma in electrical engineering.
- Higher National Diploma in electrical engineering from University of technology.
- ECSA approved candidate technician program + 3 years.
- N6 + 8 years in Heavy Industry, Automation and instrumentation.
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- SAP (advantageous).
- HMI Software.
- PLC software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide technical support to plant production and maintenance operations.
- Assist with training and high-level fault-finding.
- Perform plant development projects.
- Drive safety initiatives allocated to.
- Good knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles, regulations, processes, systems, procedures and practices.
- Expert knowledge of general maintenance processes and systems.
- Good understanding of plant processes and procedures.
- Project and contractor management.
- Expert knowledge of Drives and PLCs.
- Coaching of artisans.
- Auditing as required.
- Communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills.
- Trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
- Provide Technical Support.
- Task orientated and natural drive to complete tasks timeously.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in hot and cold environment, heights and confined areas.
- Ability to work standby and shift work as and when required.
- Able to support the organization in times of emergencies.
- Suitable candidate will be required to perform other duties that are related to the function as prescribed by business requirements.
